Pioneer is a very slow maturing doe. She
was a late kid which we are sure has added to her late development.
What she does have is a board level top-line. She is such a joy to
show because you just kind of walk in and stand there while she chews her
cud. What she does lack is some breed character and depth of
body. We do believe (as often runs in her line), that this depth of
body will come on or about her fourth birthday---time will only
tell. In the meantime, Pioneer is a very stylish and feminine doe
that is long and dairy. She milks well and passes her dairyness,
grace and style with that lovely top line on to her daughters as evidenced
in Hill's Acres GXY Anuddershaula. Pioneer
boasts a very tightly attached mammary that has wonderfully plumb teats,
we would like to see her teats quite a bit smaller however. We
believe that her fore-udder will blend more smoothly with her body as she
deepens with maturity. If there is something we could change about
her it would be her feet, they are very strong, but we would like to see a
shorter pastern and a deeper heel. Because she is a correct doe she has
always shown well earning her first leg as a two year-old going Reserve
Grand Champion under a Permanent Champion Doe making her 1xRGCH, 3x1st and
12x2nd.
